We travelled up to Sandy Park, home of the Exeter Chiefs to spread the news about RoomMate, meet some new and some familiar faces and see what else is going on in the tech world.

Believe it or not I think it starts when we’re kids. Remember when your parents asked/told/ordered (delete where appropriate) you to do something that you weren’t really a fan of, or couldn’t see the point of? It got done, eventually, but probably not very well, or quickly and only because of the threat of some sanction or restriction of liberty by the our parents. So fast forward to the here and now and not much will have changed for many of us.

Starting up a business can be a nerve wracking process, not least when you realise that many 'great ideas' never leave the ideas stage due to, what I believe is the biggest single obstacle to starting a business, lack of funds. Thanks to a loan from The South West Investment Group we were able to get RoomMate to market.
